Mainstreaming an integrated approach in policy development

Without effective (re)integration policies, migrants and returning migrants may be marginalized and find themselves in a situation of vulnerability, with lack of access to social services and decent working conditions. In the case of communities, the lack of these measures can increase social tension. Applying a holistic and integrated approach leads to more successful and sustainable interventions in terms of (re)integration.
